I’m a writer/director/producer who worked her way up the ranks in film production before directing my first feature, THE HOWLING VI, described as a “taut, suspenseful debut” by the New York Times. Then, I directed PET SHOP, a Sci-Fi comedy for Paramount Video, and wrote, directed and produced the indie feature ST. PATRICK’S DAY, starring Piper Laurie, described as a “warm, funny family saga” by the Los Angeles Times.
I now focus my passions on writing original screenplays as well as scripts for production companies and individuals. I penned THE MARY KAY LETOURNEAU STORY for Fox Television, and developed a TV pilot, WONDERLAND, with Laura Ziskin Productions. I have been hired to write several other feature screenplays including SOLDIER CHILD, about child soldiers in Uganda, and CHE, based on the revolutionary icon, Che Guevara. Recently, I was hired to write PAWTUCKET, a dramedy about a woman revisiting her dysfunctional childhood as well as AWAKENING, a TV pilot about a teen psychic.
I am currently in development with several screenplays: SWEET LADIES OF THE RITZ, about poets Sylvia Plath and Anne Sexton, and BRIDGET CLEARY AND THE GOOD PEOPLE, the story of the last "witch" burned in Ireland.
I also love to coach screenwriters how to write compelling stories.
